Green and Lush

I’m definitely glad that the rainy days are behind us… at least I’d like to hope so. I can definitely handle the occasional gloomy start to the day followed by some drizzle here and there but the constant rain had started to get to me. Sure, there’s nothing as comforting as hearing the rain pouring outside as your snuggle under the covers with your favourite hot drink and a good show to dive into, but the aftermath of the rain was quickly becoming a nuisance. Muddy shoes, puddles to jump over, clothes not drying fast enough…

That being said, I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate the beautiful, lush greenery that comes as a result of this season. I love seeing pops of green everywhere! And that’s pretty much what inspired this look.

I wanted something that reflected the overcast weather – which coincidentally is most ideal when taking outfit pictures (if you didn’t know) – and the lush green landscape around Nairobi. I went for an all black ensemble and added my green dress (worn here as a coat) over it. The lime strap on the heel added a fun pop of colour while the brown bag kept the look neutral and grounded.

Hope you’ve had a great start to the week and that you’re oozing nothing but love and love!
