Estheticians are trained to help their clients maintain healthy skin. Since they are trained in skin wellness, they strive to help their clients address complexion problems through a number of therapies and practices.

How great is it that they offer their two cents on all kinds of skincare issues on Twitter for FREE? If you want to get your skin together and live your best life, allow me to introduce you to my top 7 Black estheticians on Twitter.

1. Lily Njoroge

Lily is a New York based esthetician. She owns a spa called Skin Wins and also specializes in skincare coaching. She curates no-nonsense routines for her clients to combat any skin issues they might have. Her product reviews are trusted far and wide. There’s a running joke on Twitter about her disdain for the Cetaphil cleanser. (To find out why, just search caveofbeauty + cetaphil, on Twitter)

Her Twitter handle: @caveofbeauty

2. Hadiyah Dache

I’ve been following her for some time now. I learnt about oil cleansing from her and she is quite forthcoming with other types of skincare resources. She’s known for the #glowin6 challenge, which is a 6-week Twitter skincare challenge. Participants challenge themselves to consistently follow a skincare routine for six weeks to help with acne and hyperpigmentation. Complete with before and after pictures.

3. Emani Mone

I stumbled across Emani a couple of months ago and I have been loving her content ever since. She’s also a licensed spa owner and founder of Beauty Strike, an eCommerce app for skincare. She is a loud advocate of sunscreen. Her bio reads, “You’re cute but do you wear SPF?” For that alone, you should follow her.

4. Ashley White

Ashley is a pro-science esthetician based out of Chicago who gives AMAZING skincare advice. You can look to this thread to see if one of your skincare questions has been answered.

5. Nayamka Roberts-Smith

Nai (as she is popularly known by her followers) is the creator of the #60secondrule. She’s an esthetician based in Los Angeles and specializes in facials, waxing, and body treatments for people of colour. She also hilariously bashes the use of the witch hazel toner. (To find out why, just search labeautologist + witch hazel, on Twitter)

6. Cruzan Choklate

I greatly admire her intense sense of accountability and pride in the skincare community. This professional esthetician combines her years of education and real-life experience to give you (and me!) the absolute best skincare advice.

7. Sean Garrete

Rounding off this list is a skincare enthusiast with a twist: New York-based Sean. I love it when there’s a diversity of voices chiming in about the products we’re curious about. He is an esthetician and skincare specialist who regularly tweets product recommendations and advice.

We honestly believe searching any of these people’s names with a keyword (eg caveofbeauty + skin purging) will get your skin right. Go ahead and venture into the world of skincare Twitter.
