Edged Up

There’s nothing like a pair of black jeans and leather jacket to make you feel like an extra in Sons of Anarchy. Although I doubt my fluffy, pink bag accessory, high bun or strappy sandals would have really fit in with their crew, I still feel like I could have had a role to play in their incredibly volatile lives.

I’ve been pretty much been living in this jacket, handbag and pair of jeans for the past month but can you blame me? Give me comfort and convenience with a little bit of chic and you’ve got me hooked for life.

Wearing this outfit made me feel like I was stuck between two worlds: one that embraced fluffy, cute textures in the prettiest pastel colours (that sweater feels like a dream – almost as if you’ve got a constant bear hugging you tight) and another world that was drawn to a harder, more edgy feel (hence the metal hardware and details on the jacket and bag). Truth be told my sense of style stems from a feminine place hence the need to inject some soft elements to this look but a girl can dream about being more edgy and rocker-chic, right?
